So sorry to hear Dave is gone. It was way to soon, Dave was everything you said in the obituary. Danny, being his twin I can’t imagine the pain. Brittany Kellie and the girls always told me you were his world. Barb., I remember how close you all were. I’m sorry I wasn’t able to make the services. Know that he is with you always. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.

My Deepest Sympathy to the Murphy Family We are saddened by Dave’s sudden passing! I have been friends with all of you for many years , Although life lead us all in different directions and we have not seen or talked in awhile ,until recently Dave joined Facebook and we chatted about the good ole days and Dave was excited his daughter was getting married & he couldn’t wait to be a grandpa he was happy & told me him & Dan just bought a condo in myrtle Beach and he was there working and loving the view !! I am so grateful I got to talk to him and laugh about all the good times we all had ! I will cherish all the wonders memories and also know he was a forever friend ,Rest Easy My Friend

Worked with David for many years at Westvaco. He was a great designer and always willing to go the extra step to assist anyone. He will be missed by all who knew him.

Dave was a great man on many levels! - no pun intended. Besides being a great person with a good sense of humor, he is also the best and smartest design engineer that I have ever had the opportunity to work with. He was a very humble man that always shared his ideas, and listened to anyone's suggestions to improve a design or process that he is working on. Any time that he was not talking about work he was talking about his daughter, Brittany - the light of his life. He would, and did, drop anything he was doing to spend any time with her. He will be missed by many, but never forgotten!
