Obituary of Mary F. Morse

Belchertown-Mary F. (Gray) Morse, 93, passed away October 4, 2021. Born in Springfield on September 17, 1928, she was the daughter of David and Jane (Phillips) Gray. Mary grew up in Springfield and raised her family in Ludlow. For many years, she has resided in Belchertown before spending her final years at Lifecare in Wilbraham. Her hands were always busy with crocheting, crafts, knitting and puzzles. She also enjoyed many summers filled with family time at Hampton Beach. Mary was predeceased in 2002 by her husband, Richard, in 2008, by her son, Robert and in 2020, by her son-in-law, Lawrence Pelletier. Her memory will forever remain with her daughters, Linda Pelletier of Ware, Lori Furrer and her husband Josef of Wolcott, VT, and daughter-in-law, Linda (Chrzanowski) Morse of Springfield. Mary also leaves seven grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. She will also be missed by her dear nieces and nephews and many friends. She was the youngest and last surviving of her siblings, Elizabeth Kusnierz, Joseph Gray, Morris Gray, and Jean Lewis. The family wishes to sincerely thank the staff at Life Care Center of Wilbraham for the love and care they extended to Mary during her time there. Visitation will be held Tuesday, Oct 12th from 11:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. at the Beers & Story Belchertown with a service to begin at 12 p.m. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Shriner's Hospital.
