Obituary of Katherine "Katie" (Elian) Thomson-Hansen

Ludlow- Katherine 'Katie' Elizabeth (Elian)Thomson-Hansen  passed away on March 22, 2022 at the young age of 31 in Ludlow. Born on December 25th 1990 in Worcester, MA, to Michael and Laura (Plasse) Elian. Katie enjoyed music, tending to her plants, being with friends, and hiking with her beloved dog Mia and husband Joshua Thomson-Hansen. Katie was gorgeous and empathetic, loyal, witty, and elegant. She graduated from UMASS Amherst with a B.S. in public health and earned her PhD in pharmaceuticals at MCPHS. Her short but dynamic career in pharmacy touched many lives. She was passionate about public health. Caring for others as a pharmacist she took pride in being a frontline healthcare worker and served her community with a huge open heart. Katie will be deeply missed by the love of her life, her husband. Her loss will also be felt by her parents, sister Alex, nephew Finn, so many friends, extended family, and colleagues.

The visitation as a celebration of life will be from 10am-1pm on Sunday, April 3rd, 2022 at Beers & Story Palmer Funeral Home with words of love and prayers at 1pm. As an act of loving kindness please send flowers to a local nursing home in the spirit of thoughtfulness Katie represented.
