Obituary of Elaine A. (Miller) Lydon

Belchertown-Elaine A. (Miller) Lydon, 76 passed away July 23, 2022.  Born December 4, 1945 in Holyoke, she was the daughter of Martin Boudreau and Mildred Miller.  Elaine grew up in Holyoke and raised her family in Belchertown.  She was a hairdresser for many years along with providing CNA care both in the setting of homes along with the Belchertown State School.  Elaine was proud to have served in the US Coast Guard Auxiliary.  She loved her koi pond and tending to her gardens along with time spent on the water while boating or at the beach.  Elaine was an amazing cook and her children fondly remember time ice skating.  She always had all kinds of pets and adored them all.  In 2016, Elaine was predeceased by her husband of 49 years, Charles J. Lydon, Sr.  She will be dearly missed by her children, Charles J. Lydon, Jr. and his wife Hannah and their children, Cuinn, Shea, Fionn, and Isabelle as well as her daughter, Dawn Nunes-Mckeone and her husband Erik and their children, Brian, Kyle, Cody, and Olivia.  Visitation will be Friday, July 29th from 9:00-11:00 a.m. at the Beers and Story Belchertown Funeral Home with a service to begin at 11:00 a.m.  Burial will follow in South Cemetery in Belchertown.  Donations may be made to Dakin Humane Society, 171 Union St., Springfield, MA 01105 in honoring her love for animals.
