Obituary of George F. Taylor

Monson - George "Buddy" F. Taylor, Jr., 60, passed away suddenly on October 6, 2023, at Baystate Medical Center surrounded by loved ones. He was born on November 5, 1962, in Claremont, NH to George and Irene (Moran) Taylor. Buddy lived most of his life in Springfield until he moved to Monson around 10 years ago. He was currently employed by USA Waste & Recycling in Wilbraham where he worked as a heavy equipment operator. He was an avid Raiders football fan and collected sports memorabilia. Buddy was a hard worker with his full-time job and his own cleaning business. He is survived by three children, Clint Taylor, Ethan Taylor and Shaddai Ayala and two grandchildren, Damian and Brayden Taylor. He will also be missed by his siblings, Bruce Taylor and his wife Pauline, James Taylor, Linda Gagne and husband Gerry and Ernie LaVertue and his wife Karin. He also leaves two sisters in law, Terrie LaVertue and Barbara Taylor and many nieces and nephews. Besides his parents he was predeceased by two brothers, Bobby Taylor and Paul LaVertue. Calling hours will be held on Sunday, October 15th at the Beers & Story Belchertown Funeral Home from 2:00PM - 5:00PM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Shriners Children's New England.
