Obituary of Anita Dorothy Clifford

Monson-Anita D Clifford, 99 years old passed away peacefully at her home on October 28, 2023 surrounded by her loving family. Anita was born in Ludlow on September 29, 1924 and was the daughter of the late Louis Graveline, and Gertrude (Pellerin). Anita attended St John the Baptist parochial school and Cathedral High School. She sang in the children’s and adult choir at St. John's. Anita worked for St Michael’s in Springfield as a bookkeeper. She was also a bookkeeper for Diamond Match Company, in Springfield, the Academy of Dance in East Longmeadow, MA, and Roy E Clifford Plumbing and Heating. Anita was a member of many local garden clubs where she received many awards for her achievements. She was also an avid painter, basket weaver, and pianist. She is predeceased by her husband Roy E Clifford and her brother Louis Graveline Jr. She is survived by her daughters Marlene Nielson and Chris of Huntington Beach, CA, and Lisa Duclos and Jim of Stafford Springs, CT, Kim Clifford of East Longmeadow, MA, and April Tluszcz of Springfield, MA, and her six grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
