Obituary of Madeline Echols

Madeline "Mandy" Echols, 81, passed away with the love of her family surrounding her on October 30, 2023. She was born September 21, 1942 in Brooklyn, NY to the late Joseph and Grace (Lucivero) Razza. She was raised in Richmond Hill, NY. She graduated from Richmond Hill High School and following graduation worked as bank teller. Shortly after the birth of her first child she settled in Ludlow, MA where she raised her children; among those were many foster children. She moved to Wales, MA and for several years helped run the Circle H Ranch country bar. She retired as Asst. Store Manager for F.L. Roberts. After retiring she moved to Heritage Green in Fiskdale, MA. In her senior -housing community she was known as the “coffee lady” coordinating coffee time and social hours. Her hobbies included Bingo, reading, puzzles, listening to country music and enjoying time with her family. Mandy will be greatly missed by her children; David Echols, Jr (Denise), Robert Echols (Lisa), Edward Brown( Donna) and Shelly Garrett along with her, brother Anthony Razza (Joy) of Long Island, NY. She also leaves 12 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews , cousins and friends. She was predeceased by her step son Lee Echols, 1 grandchild, and 1 great-grandchild. Visitation will be held Saturday, November 11 th at Beers & Story Funeral Home in Palmer, MA from 10:00 -11:30 a.m. with a prayer service at 11:30 a.m. followed by Burial in Oak Knoll Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please consider donations in her memory to Shriner's Hospital in Springfield Mass or your local Foster care organization.
