Obituary of Gregory John Lukasik

Ware - Gregory J. Lukasik, 66, passed away surrounded by his family on November 2, 2023, after a brief illness. He was born on October 4, 1957, in Springfield, MA to Richard E. Lukasik of South Hadley and the late Helen A. (Dzialo) Lukasik. He was raised in South Hadley and graduated from Holyoke High School in 1975. Greg lived most of his life in South Hadley and moved to Ware 17 years ago. He was an easy-going guy who got along with everyone he met. Greg loved spending time with his family and friends. He loved walking the downtown neighborhood of Ware and made many friends. He was involved with 4H and enjoyed raising ducks and capons. He also loved to fish and enjoyed the outdoors. Greg was predeceased by his mom, Helen and a sister Dolores A. Lukasik. Besides his father, he is survived by his siblings, Richard "Rick" Lukasik, Jr (Donna) of Springfield, Diane Trzpit (Richard) of Ware, Steven Lukasik (Nancy) of Chicopee, John Lukasik (Gail) of Granby and Ann Marie Lambert (David) of Warwick. He will also be missed by 13 nieces and nephews. A calling hour will be held at St. Theresa of Lisieux Parish in South Hadley on Mon., Nov. 13th from 10:00-11:00am, followed by a Funeral Mass at 11:00am. The burial will be at Mater Dolorosa Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to Thomas J. O'Connor Animal Control & Adoption Center.
