Obituary of Earle H. Atwell

Belchertown -Earle H. Atwell, 84, passed away November 5, 2023. He was born on October 18, 1939, in N. Adams, MA to Earle G and Dorothy (Shepard) Atwell. Earle lived in Belchertown since 1956. He worked as a carpenter and then worked as the Head Janitor for Amherst Pelham School System and after he retired from there, he drove for Hulmes Transportation. Earle enjoyed his daily walks on the Norwottuck Rail Trail, playing guitar, and listening to country music. He was an avid Red Sox and Patriots fan and loved spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife Nancy (Capen) Atwell, his stepdaughter Jo-Anne Hatt, his son-in-law Michael, and 13 siblings and 4 stepsiblings. He is survived by his son, Carle (Beth) Atwell of Palmer, his daughter, Sherry Walsh of Belchertown, his brother, Steve Atwell and sister, Candy McNeaney both of Belchertown. He also leaves 5 grandchildren, Shauna (Adam), Trisha (Nelson), Shani (James), Eric (Christina) and Adam also 12 great grandchildren Riley, Grace, Dante, Nyziah, Angelina, Mason, Aviana, Lincoln, Caleb, Shannon, Lana, and Jayden. A graveside service will be held on November 21, 2023, at 11am at South Cemetery in Belchertown.
