Obituary of James E. West

Palmer-James E. "Jim" West, 51, passed away October 26, 2023. Born on November 24, 1971, in Southbridge, he was the son of Raymond West and Diane (Starbuck) Badger. Jim was a jack of all trades and could fix anything he put his mind to. He was a man with many skills and he never shied away from hard work. With a warm, charismatic, and compassionate personality, Jim could easily make friends anywhere he went. Jim spent most of his final days on a gheenoe in the canal fishing and enjoying his life. Most of all, he loved his family and his grandchildren. He will be dearly missed. 
Jim is survived by his mother, Diane Badger, and step-father, Jack Badger; his children, Tiffany West, James West II, Levi West, and Michael "Choke ‘em" Lawson; his best friend and mother of his children, Dawn Cardinal; siblings, Bonnie McGough and Craig Perry; his 3 precious grandchildren, Charleigh Cortright, Atreus West, and Odin-Daniel West; as well as his step-children and step-grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Monday, November 20, 2023 from 5-8pm at the Beers & Story Palmer Funeral Home. Words of faith by Pastor Skip, and family reflections will be shared at 7pm. Burial will be held privately for the family.
