Obituary of Joanne Mary Julian

Chicopee- Joanne (Henning) Julian, 89, passed away on November 24, 2023. She was born in Springfield and was the daughter of the late Carl and Marion (Wiggins) Henning. She was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, William Julian Sr., in 2016. Joanne and William co-owned and operated Ernest's Bakery located in East Springfield for 35 years. She was also a teacher's aide for the Springfield Public School System for ten years before her retirement. She will be deeply missed by her two children, William Jr. of Granby and MaryAnn DiNapoli with her husband Robert of Wellesley, along with her three cherished granddaughters, Nicole, Danielle, and Madeline. She is also survived by her sister-in-law, Pauline Henning, her nephew Louis Vezzola, and great nephews Mark and Michael Vezzola. Besides her husband and parents, she was predeceased by her three brothers, Robert, John and Richard. The family extends their gratitude to the staff at both The Arbors in Chicopee and Chicopee Nursing and Rehab for the compassionate care provided to their mother. The burial will be held on December 1, 2023 at 11:00am in West Street Cemetery in Granby. There are no calling hours.
