Obituary of Beverly Joyce Willis

Florence - Beverly J. (Harrop) Willis, 70, passed away December 8, 2023, at Cooley Dickinson Hospital. She was born on December 5, 1953, in Holyoke, MA to Joyce (Fleurent) Harrop of Granby and the late Robert Harrop. Beverly was raised in Granby and graduated from Granby High School. Beverly has lived in Florence, MA for 20 years and previously lived in New Hampshire. Beverly will be remembered for her kindness, her love of animals, especially cats, her passion for country music and gardening. Besides her loving mother Joyce, she is survived by two sons, Jason Edes of FL and Christopher Edes of PA and two granddaughters, Madeline and Juliette Edes. She also leaves six siblings, Robert Harrop (Paula) of Las Vegas NV, Carol Reckers (Steve) of KY, Susan Carpenter (Bruce) of Belchertown, Debra Basko of South Hadley, Sandra McCuskey (Patrick) of Ludlow and David Harrop (Laura) of Las Vegas, NV. A calling hour will be held on Friday, Dec. 15th from 10:00-11:00am at Beers & Story Belchertown Funeral Home. A Memorial service will follow at 11:00am. The burial will take place in Quabbin Park Cemetery in Ware. In lieu of flowers, please make donations in her memory to an animal shelter of your choice.
