Obituary of Carl W North

Monson-Carl W.North, 83, passed away January 29, 2024. He was born in Wilbraham on March 3, 1940, son of William M. and Mabel A.(Rauh) North. Carl has lived most of his life in Monson after growing up in Wilbraham and attending Palmer schools. He was in a heavy equipment operator for Construction Services in Wilbraham and retired in 2002 after over 30 years of employment. In his leisure, Carl enjoyed fishing and woodworking.  He also spent time restoring and showing old tractors.  In 2017, Carl was predeceased by his wife, Liljen M.(Hermanson) and is survived by two sons, Roy W. of Monson and Jay B. and his wife Renee of Hardwick.  Carl also leaves Renee's son, Ryan Stiles along with a niece, Lois Ganieany and nephew, Paul Ganieany, Jr.  Brother-in-law, Robert Graves, sister-in-law, Gunvor Graves along with niece, Leah and her husband Chris DesLaurieres also survive him.  Besides his parents and wife, he was predeceased by his sister, Florence Butler in 2019. Services will be privately held for the family.
