Obituary of Kathleen Wehr

Granby-Kathleen M. (Geraghty) Wehr, 69, passed away unexpectedly on January 29, 2024 while in Venice, FL. Born July 9, 1954 in Holyoke, she was the daughter of John and Dorothy (McCain) Geraghty. Kathleen grew up in South Hadley and lived in Holyoke before moving to Granby over 40 years ago. Kathleen was a critical care nurse and worked in the ICU at Holyoke Medical Center for her entire career. She loved to travel and was the most awesome "Dance Mom" to not only her girls but other dancers as well. Visiting wineries with her daughters was also a treasured past time for her. December 3, 2020, Kathleen was predeceased by her husband of 40 years, John E. "Jody" Wehr, Jr. Her love and memory will be cherished by her two daughters, Jennifer LaBonte and her husband Danial of Granby, and Dr. Sheena Wehr of Lake Worth Beach, FL as well as her granddaughter, Ariel Standridge and fur grandkids. She also is survived by her brother, John Geraghty (Deborah), sister-in-law, Sharon (John) and brother-in-law, Michael (Denise) as well as many nieces and nephews. Besides her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her daughter, Brandy Spaght as well as siblings, Maureen, James and Martin. Visitation will be Thursday February 15 from 4pm-6pm at the Beers & Story South Hadley Funeral Home. A funeral service will be Friday February 16 at 12pm with burial at MA Veterans' Memorial Cemetery at 2pm.
