Obituary of Robert Nelson Harvey
Robert Nelson Harvey of East Longmeadow, MA, passed away on February 18, 2024, at home with his loving wife by his side. He was the son of the late Berry Francis and Nina Argenbright Harvey.
Bob was raised in Staunton, Virginia and attended Robert E. Lee High school and graduated from Staunton Military Academy in 1955. He then attended and graduated from Virginia Polytechnic Institute in 1963 with a major in business. He graduated from Western New England University in 1966 with a Juris Doctor degree.
Bob retired from Pratt and Whitney in 1997. He then went to work for H & R Block and retired in 2017. Bob was an avid reader and enjoyed listening to music. He loved spending time at his home on Cape Cod and going to the beach.
He leaves behind his wife, Patricia (Mann) Harvey of East Longmeadow, MA and two sons, Robert D. Harvey and Gregory B. Harvey of Florida and a sister, Nancy Hansen (Gilbert) of Sugar Land, TX and her son Steve Riley of TX. He is also survived by his sister-in-law Jean Flores and her husband Francisco of Belchertown and nieces and nephews, Shawn, Aimee, Crystal and Chad and great niece and nephews, Audrianna, Jeremy, Harley, Ben Andre, Emma, Nadiya and Maylee and many other extended in-laws, nieces and nephews.
A calling hour will be held on Friday, March 1, 2024, from 10:00am-11:00am followed by a service at 11:00am at the Beers & Story Belchertown Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Lake Vale Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to Holyoke VNA & Hospice Life Care, 575 Beech St., Holyoke, MA 01040.
