Obituary of Gloria J. Fredette

Belchertown-Gloria J. (Sedelow) Fredette, 80, passed away at her home on February 23, 2024. Born in Ludlow on April 11, 1943, she was the daughter of Aldore and Francis (Davis) Sedelow. Gloria grew up in Indian Orchard and raised her family in Ludlow. For over 15 years, she and her husband have lived in Belchertown. Gloria was an accomplished seamstress and very talented and artistic. Along with sewing, she also shared much of her artistic talent in ceramics. She owned and operated "Country Ceramics" along with helping her husband with his business " Fredette Paving". Gloria's love will remain with her husband of 61 years, Joseph E.G. Fredette, along with their children, Doreen Kirby and her husband Edward Kirby, Jr. of Belchertown and Lee Fredette and his wife, Michelle ( Gubola) of Ohio. Gloria is also survived by her two grandchildren, Marshall and Morgen Kirby as well as siblings, Robert Sedelow (Maureen) of Loris, SC, Dolores Ralph of Wilbraham, and sister-in-law, Arlene Sedelow of E.Longmeadow, and many nieces and nephews. Gloria was predeceased by her siblings, Deanna, Aldor "Joe" and most recently Gerald Sedelow. Visitation will be Wednesday, February 28 from 9:30-10:30 a.m. at the Beers & Story Belchertown Funeral Home with a funeral mass at St. Francis of Assisi at 11 a.m. Private family burial will follow.
