Obituary of Ronald Gerard Proulx

Belchertown-It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Ronald Gerard Proulx on April 6th, 2024 with his loving family by his side. Ron was born on August 13, 1946 in Springfield, MA to the late Armand J. Proulx and Annette (Lussier) Proulx. He married the love of his life Pat (Doyon) in June of 1967. After proudly serving his country in the United States Army for 3 years he then obtained his bachelor's degree in engineering. Ron built a career as the Vice President of Strategic Development at ABB Combustion Engineering after working his way from Draftsman to International Sales, traveling primarily to Asia. After retirement he then went on to work in public relations at South Bay Hospital in Apollo Beach Florida while also serving on various boards with the local Chamber of Commerce. When he wasn't working, he enjoyed playing the guitar and singing, sharing his passion for wine, watching and playing golf, spending time with family, and always maintaining strong family values. For the past two years, Ron and Pat have lived in Belchertown, previously residing in Ludlow, Enfield and Florida. His memory will forever remain with his wife, Patricia J. (Doyon) Proulx along with their children, Ronald G. Proulx (Tracey) of Randolph, VT, Tammy Ann Martin (Luke) of South Berwick, ME and Jennifer Lynn Bridges (Scott) of Quincy, MA. Ron will be deeply missed as Pepere to Ryan and Jared Proulx, Isabel and Harrison Martin as well as David and Aidan Bridges. He will also be missed by his sisters, Diane Cecchetelli and Marie Proulx along with many family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his sisters, Jacqueline Brouillard and Camille Murphy.
