To John's family, I am so sorry for your loss! I worked with John for many years at the Springfield Museums. In addition to being an valued expert in his field, a conscientious worker, and a great conversationalist, he was a true gentleman. He always spoke highly of his family and clearly cherished them. For years, a number of us from Springfield Museums, both actively working and retired, would meet at Red Rose for our 'May birthdays lunch.' In a few weeks, we will be meeting for the first time since covid hit and will greatly miss John. We will save his chair at the table and share our memories. Please accept my heartfelt condolences.
