Obituary of Richard M. Carpin

"Belchertown-Richard M. Carpin, 62, of Pondview Circle, passed away October 8, 2006 at Umass Medical Center. Born February 6, 1944 in Springfield, MA, he was the son of the late Albert and Mary (Fenton) Carpin. Richard has lived in Belchertown for the past 13 years, previously residing in Springfield. He served his country during the Vietnam war in the U.S. Navy. Dick was employed for the past 17 years at Dow Jones in Chicopee as a mail clerk. He also worked at Richco Janitor Services in Springfield. Richard is survived by his wife of 25 years, Norma Jeanne (Gagne) along with three children, William J., Correen A. and Lisa M. Carpin all of Belchertown. He also leaves a brother Robert and his wife Christine of Chicopee along with their daughter. A graveside service will be held Thursday at 12:00 p.m. at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Springfield. Beers & Story Belchertown Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
