Obituary of Joan Edberg

"Joan M. (Keyes) Edberg, 74, died suddenly on Sunday, June 28. Born in Palmer, January 15, 1935, she was the daughter of the late James & Leona (Morin) Keyes. A lifelong resident, she was a graduate of Palmer High School. She worked for many years as the secretary for the Special Education Department in the Palmer Schools and also worked as an aide in the Bondsville Elementary School. A communicant of St. Anne's Church, she also sang I the Sts. Peter & Paul Church Choir. She will be deeply missed by her husband of 50 years, Paul N. Edberg, along with her son Jeffrey and his wife Michele of Wales. She also leaves two granddaughters, Melissa and Erika and many nieces and nephews. Calling hours for Joan will be Thursday, July 2, from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. at the Beers & Story Palmer Funeral Home, 1475 N. Main St. Funeral services will be Friday, July 3. Friends and family may gather at the funeral home for 12:00 p.m. to process to St. Ann's Church for a mass to begin at 1:00 p.m. Burial will follow in St. Ann's Cemetery.
