Obituary of Richard O. Brault

" Richard O. Brault, 66, of Gates St., died suddenly March 3 in Ft. Pierce, FL. Born in St. Albans, VT, November 14, 1937, he lived in Palmer for most of his life before moving to Monson seven years ago. Richard served his country in the Navy during the Korean War, and later joined the American Legion Post 130 in Palmer. Mr. Brault was a truck driver for Contech in Palmer for 15 years before his retirement in 1999. He was a nationally ranked cribbage player, and a member of the Quaboag Country Club. He also enjoyed driving his Harley and was an avid sportsman, enjoying fishing and hunting. He will be deeply missed by his wife of 45 years, the former Jeannette O. Martin, his son Philip R. Brault of Thorndike, along with his four brothers, Robert and Peter of Springfield, Charles of Virginia and Paul of Pennsylvania. He also leaves two grandchildren, Jill and Madison Brault. Mr. Brault was predeceased by a sister, Judith Parker. Funeral services will be Wednesday, March 10 beginning at the Beers &Story Palmer Funeral Home. Friends and family may gather at the funeral home by 9:45 a.m. and there will be a liturgy of Christian burial at 10:30 a.m. in St. Thomas Church. burial will follow in St. Thomas Cemetery. Calling hours are Tuesday from 4:00 - 7:00 p.m. "
