Mary Jane always stopped to visit when she came back to Palmer. We had so many good times together, when she lived in Palmer and at St. Paul's Church. We will miss her.

I only worked with MJ for several years at Turley Publications, but I will admire her forever. She was the best teacher anyone could have had. She was young at heart, hardworking, kind, wise and joyful. She was hands-on, confident and full of strength and humor. She made working late on Tuesday and Wednesday nights fun. She taught me more on Tuesdays than I ever could have learned from a college journalism textbook! She was masterful at multitasking! And to this day, every time I see a losing scratch ticket I still have an urge to save it for her and her “collection!" In 2001 I visited her in Florida and, as always, she was surrounded by her new friends from the store where she worked. MJ most definitely touched my life and I will always consider her as my friend and mentor. My sincere condolences to her family. She will be missed.

Sorry I could not attend today. I'm thinking of you all and enjoy thinking of many found memories of Aunt Janie. She was a wonderful loving person that I will always hold near and dear to my heart. My funniest memory of Aunt Janie was my wedding day of my first marriage, there were many signs I shouldn't go through with it and she kept telling me to pay attention to the signs, during the service one of my attendants passed out and there's Aunt Janie in the front row signing to me to run! I should have listened:) She was always full of support no matter what and had the best laugh. I consider myself a better person just for knowing her. My love to you all.
