Lyman was a very special man. So many memories of the times he spent with my father Bill Kelly and Uncle George Kelly come to mind when I think of him. When I was a child they would get together at our house in Feeding Hills to play cards and would allow me to join them to shuffle and deal the cards. As children, we would visit Lyman and Aunt Annie and love playing on the porches of their home. I also remember how fascinated I was as a child that we could wander through the house going from one room to another and then another through connecting doors and up the stairs to more rooms. We moved to the Syracuse area when I was 13 and whenever we visited Lyman, or he would come to visit us, I could always feel how much he loved us. And as the years passed and I grew into a teenager, a wife, and a mother, I would call Lyman on the phone just to say hello, or send letters with pictures of special moments. Lyman so much loved pictures of family. When we visited he would pull out the box he kept them in and share with us his stories and memories. And in all those years he never missed sending us a Christmas card. That in itself tells you the type of man he was. Kind, gentle, and caring. I will very much miss Lyman. My heart will always be full of gladness whenever I think of him, of how he could make us laugh, and his smile. He was, and always will be, one of the favorite people in my life. God Bless Lyman.
