Obituary of Lyman W. Felton

" Lyman W. Felton, 86, of Pleasant St., passed away on July 11, 2007. Born September 22, 1920, a lifelong resident of Palmer and son of the late Charles D. and Annie P. (Mayor) Felton. Mr. Felton was a WWII US Army Veteran, a member of the American Legion and Amvets. He retired as a clerk for the Palmer Post Office after 20 years of service. Lyman was a member of St. Paul’s Universalist Unitarian Church and belonged to the Felton Family Association of genealogy. He is survived by his sister Grace Lemelin and her husband Martin Sr. of Miles City, Montana, three nieces Elizabeth Diesi of Monson, Janice Singleton of Ware, Sandra Lemelin of Ft. Collins, CO a nephew Peter Lemelin and Misty Carlson both of Miles City Montana. He also leaves 9 great nieces and nephews and 4 great great nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a sister Bernice Gould, an aunt Irene Nault and a nephew Martin Lemelin, Jr. A Funeral Service will be Tuesday at 10:00 a.m. at the Beers & Story Palmer Funeral Home, followed by burial in Oak Knoll Cemetery. Calling hours are Monday from 3:00 – 6:00 p.m. Donations may be made in his memory to St. Paul’s Universalist Unitarian Church, 1060 Central St. Palmer, MA 01069. "
